Anita David

Director of Community Engagement

Anita brings over a decade of experience in community development, education, and migrant support to her role as Director of Community Engagement at Work Better Innovations. She leads strategic outreach, builds partnerships with grassroots organisations, and designs inclusive programs that support integration and empower marginalised communities.

Anita also serves as a specialist in harmful cultural practices at Stop Domestic Abuse, where she provides expert training, guidance, and one-to-one support to professionals and survivors across Hampshire. In this role, she helps shape best practices and policies to ensure culturally sensitive and trauma-informed support for those affected.

With a strong background in education, Anita has held roles with the Workers’ Educational Association, Action AsylumPortsmouth City of Sanctuary, and the British Red Cross, where she has designed learning programs, coordinated volunteer networks and championed diversity and equality. Her academic qualifications include Master’s degrees in Education and International Relations.

Known for her collaborative approach and deep commitment to social impact, she plays a key role in shaping inclusive, community-driven strategies across the organisation. Anita’s work bridges the gaps between policy, frontline service and community voices.
