Isabela Palancean

PROGRAMME ASSISTANT and DIGITAL COMMUNICATIONS

Isabela is a German and English Literature graduate from King’s College London, where she also served as an Editor for STRAND, KCL’s arts and culture magazine, during her final year.

Her studies shaped her interests in political history, philosophy and performance. She is particularly interested in the application of a multidisciplinary practice to respond to and process contemporary challenges.

Coming from an immigrant, working-class background, she is a strong advocate for equal access to education as well as the development of multilateral networks for social justice.

Through the mediums of theatre and journalism, Isabela has acquired a passion for telling stories of the marginalised, which are often muted by the mainstream. She has been able to express this by co-launching a series focused on small, independent fashion designers at STRAND and assisting grassroot projects, such as the Brecht Fragments performance at Raven Row Gallery in July 2022, that focus on the voices of the subaltern.

Isabela is channelling her degree in the humanities into strengthening public communication, across the sectors of science, art and business to promote a more holistic approach in both local and global advocacy.
